For instance, let's say that this Pages document is my written report and I want to show a combination of graphics here in my Keynote presentation. This window here is Numbers with a table and a chart. So here I have a Keynote presentation opened up in Keynote. For instance if you're working on some data in Numbers and you want to show it in a Keynote presentation or put it into a Pages document you can do that just by copying and pasting. This can be quite handy if you need to move content from one to the other. As a matter of fact they share a large common code base which means you can copy and paste between them. However, they still have a lot in common. They were all once part of the iWork app suite but now they are individual apps. Video Transcript: So Pages, Numbers, and Keynote have a common history. ![]() If you have access to another Mac running a version of MacOS currently supported by the App Store (As of Jan 2020, that would be 10.14 (Mojave) or 10.15), you could associate your AppleID with an account on that Mac, download (and thus register) the Applications you want to install on your older Mac there, and then use the Purchased tab on the older Mac to reinstall older versions of those apps on the older Mac.Check out Copying and Pasting Between Pages, Numbers and Keynote at YouTube for closed captioning and more options. (Version numbers applying to High Sierra as of January 2020) You now have Pages (v8.1), Numbers (v6.1) and Keynote (v9.1) directly in your Applications folder. So let's loose them: delete the iWork09 folder from Applications (or move it to the Thrash).
